Statistics for NMR Metabolomics course – 31st January- 1st February 2018
Our data scientists Arturas Grauslys and Eva Caamano-Gutierrez designed this course in tight collaboration with the NMR metabolomics facility manager Dr Marie Phelan. This is the third iteration of this computer led statistics 2-day course for NMR metabolomics for which a number of bespoke R scripts have been created to perform all most common analyses for metabolomics data without the need of prior knowledge of R.
The course will cover from basic multivariate statistics to more advance multivariate analyses and models. This year programme has been updated to also include some pathway analysis tools and contextualisation. No prior knowledge of R is required to undertake the course. The course programme is below followed by information about registration.
There are a very limited number of places so we encourage early registration. To register please fill in this form. Course fees are as follow:
£150 – University of Liverpool FHLS
£200 – Affiliated institutes with Technology Directorate Memorandum of Understanding
£500 – All other not-for-profit organisations
(industrial partner registration on request)
Some of our previous attendees have this feedback to say:
“[it was] great to be able to work on [my] own data and example datasets with the support of statisticians/metabolomics experts on hand. I feel much more confident about what I am doing. [It was a] chance for me to use R for the first time” Dr Angharad Care, Liverpool Women’s Hospital
“Excellent workshop within a friendly and supportive environment. [It] made metabolomics exciting rather than daunting!” Dr Emma Beamish, University of Lancaster
